Well, it's been forever since I have written on this blog about a potential quake in California. As today is the summer solstice in the USA, the Cancer Ingress chart shows Jupiter in the 4th in harsh aspect to Neptune and Venus in the chart, this ups the chance for earthquakes during the time period for the next 3 months.
Looking at chart for the Solar Eclipse of July 2, 2019 at 10-11 degrees Cancer, this eclipse has the potential to set off the Los Angeles chart as the progressed AC of the Los Angeles chart receives a direct hit from the eclipse at 11 Cancer and in the few days surrounding the eclipse, Transit Saturn and the Transit South node pass direct on the natal Mars at 17 Capricorn of the Los Angeles chart while Venus transits over the Progressed Uranus at 0 Cancer in the Los Angeles chart that could set off the Progressed Grand Square between progressed Uranus at 0 Cancer, Progressed Neptune at 5 Libra, Progressed Jupiter at 28 Sagittarius, Progressed Saturn at 0 Capricorn, and Progressed Venus at 28 Pisces. Now usually, it's either a transit from the Sun or Mars, or an outer planet that has more potential to trigger events, however.... At the same time transit Mars will be transiting over the Lunar Eclipse degree of 0 Leo from January 2019. So the eclipse degrees of January 2019 at 0-1 Leo and the new Solar Eclipse of July 2, 2019 are activated and sensitized to upcoming transits. Also the combination of Saturn meeting up at the same degree and minute with the South node and passing over the Natal Mars of the Los Angeles chart that got hit with the partial Solar Eclipse at 15 degrees Capricorn signals important changes and turbulent times.
Look over that emergency kit and be prepared.

Upcoming March 23, 2016 Eclipse
The upcoming lunar eclipse of March 23, 2016 features a Jupiter- Saturn square that perfects just hours before the eclipse at 16 degrees mutable. This eclipse is visible in California and has significance for the LA chart as the eclipse hits the radix moon at 3 Aries. Quite a number of transits are in place hitting radix planets in the LA chart as well. Transits are: transit Pluto conjoins radix Pluto at 17 Capricorn, eclipse Sun conjoins the radix moon, transit Neptune squares the vertex at 10 Gemini, transit Mercury squares the radix Uranus at 2 Cancer. Also Mars is on the MC of the eclipse chart set in Los Angeles. It is also during this time the transiting South Node and transiting Chiron link up as they conjoin the Progressed LA IC angle. Los Angeles will likely be in the news around this time. There is an elevated risk for earthquakes at this time.

Upcoming Lunar Eclipse on April 15, 2014 in California
There's an upcoming total lunar eclipse at 25 Libra on April 15, 2014. This eclipse will be important for the chart of Los Angeles and has a high possibility of seismic activity for the region on the days surrounding the eclipse. The eclipse is angular in Los Angeles and eclipses the Ascendant of the LA chart. Eclipse Mars will be conjoined with the Progressed South Node of LA in the 4th house, governing the land, at the time of the eclipse and Eclipse Saturn will stimulate a previous eclipse of LA's radical Jupiter at 21 Scorpio while the upcoming Grand Cross configuration currently operating between Uranus, Jupiter, and Pluto, reflected in much upheaval (rebellion) around the world, will soon have Mars added to the mix. It's a powerhouse of energy. Be ready for it.
The eclipse also affects the San Francisco chart as well. Since California is in such a severe drought, it could very well start off a fire season that could be very dangerous.

Full Moon in Leo Transits for California
Well, it's been an interesting and dire year so far for California with the exceptional drought and the vast increase in fires during the 'off-season'. Which brings me to the Full Moon transits in California on February 14, 2014. Set for Los Angeles, the Full Moon takes place in the first house affecting the public. However, it is Mars placed exactly on the IC that posts the most concern. Mars on the IC in a mundane map is not considered beneficial. Often times it reflects drought conditions, heat, fire, and or earthquakes. Given the fact California is suffering it's worst drought ever since records have been kept with many areas listed as exceptional drought, this is not good news. There could be a breakout of fires, increasingly worse conditions of drought that pose more problems for the government and people. Also, Mars will be conjunct with the Radical AC of the Los Angeles chart with many other transits of planets stimulating Radical and Progressed placements in the charts of California and Los Angeles. An earthquake is always a potential risk as well and it could manifest under these transits as well. Hopefully, it doesn't come to that because the last thing California needs an earthquake to bust gas lines and no water to put out fires. The best case scenario is rain for the state and recently some minor rain has fallen just not nearly enough! Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst...

Heavy Transit Week for Los Angeles
This week of January 12-18 is an active transit week for the Los Angeles founding chart. Mid-week there's a full moon at 25 Cancer- Capricorn in square to the lunar eclipse of October 18, 2013 at 25 Aries that eclipsed the DC angle of the Los Angeles chart. This adds even more umpf to the heavy transits LA will be under. Many planetary radical placements will be under transit including the full moon. Transit Mars will square the radical Mars at 17 Capricorn along with the Transit Venus conjoining the same point. The Transit Node is currently square to the radical LA Pluto at 4 Aquarius and Transit Mercury will be within orb conjunction to the same Radical Pluto placement. Transit Saturn is currently conjoining the Radical LA Jupiter at 21 Scorpio, eclipsed in November 2012. Transit Chiron at 10 Pisces is square to the Radical Vertex at 10 Gemini. Transit Pluto is within a 1 degree orb of a trine to the Radical Sun, but transit Jupiter and Neptune don't make any really significant transits to the Radical Chart. Transit Uranus at 8-9 Aries has passed an opposition with the Radical Venus at 7-8 Libra. It should be an interesting week to see what happens since the Progressed LA chart doesn't show much significant activations with the transits or even the progressed aspects with the radical chart.
There's always a chance for a large earthquake. Back in 1994, the Northridge quake happened after the eclipse to LA's Radical Jupiter at 21 Scorpio. At the time of the quake, the New Moon chart set for Washington DC, had 5 Aquarius on the DC angle and was conjoined with Transit Mercury. The Eclipse chart prior to the Northridge quake set for Washington DC had the Transit Sun conjoin the MC at 27 Capricorn. This year, the eclipse chart set for Washington DC of November 2012 that eclipsed LA's radical Jupiter has 6 Aquarius on the MC angle where Transit Mercury will conjoin the angle on January 16th.

Supermoons and elevated seismic risk
January 1, 2014 is a Supermoon, a.k.a. a perigee (closer to Earth) New Moon, at 3:14 am in California. This is the first Supermoon of the month with a second occurring on January 30th. This will be the last double Supermoon month until 2018, and this January 1st features a cardinal cross of Pluto conjunct the New Moon at 11 Capricorn along with Mercury and square to Mars in 11-12 Libra and Uranus in 8 Aries, and Jupiter in 16 Cancer. This is a very powerful configuration and is and will play out on the world stage with increased violence, protests, storms, and of course seismic activity. In California, this New Moon has the potential to produce a sizable and powerfully destructive quake. The New Moon chart set for Los Angeles has an ascendant of 21 Scorpio, 21 Scorpio being the placement of the radical Jupiter in the LA chart which was eclipsed in November 2012 and now Saturn making a very close transit approach at 20 Scorpio. San Francisco has the Radical Node at 21 Leo with the transit Saturn moving into square. However is should be noted, the total Solar Eclipse of November 2012 was not visible in the USA nor was the eclipse angular in California.
Yet, there is the transiting node connection. The combined Transit South Node at 5 Scorpio making it's pass over the Progressed Sun of the LA chart at 4-5 Taurus ( involved in a progressed square with Radical LA Pluto at 4 Aquarius) and the Transiting Cardinal Cross coming into play amps up the danger. A cardinal cross configuration is featured in some of the most powerful quakes California has ever had-- the Owen's Valley quake of 1872 being one of them. A cardinal sign t-square is featured in the 1857 Ft. Tejon quake and in the 1700 9.0 Cascadian Basin quake. The Radical California chart has an Ascendant of 5 Scorpio which is currently being transited by the North Node and is an eclipse degree from April 2013 that was visible in Russia. Currently, Russia is dealing with two bombings as this degree is being stimulated.
Even though this eclipse was not visible in California it was angular on the IC in California, so it's my opinion this is a factor to be considered in evaluating seismic risk for California.
The window for seismic activity from this Supermoon is fairly large lasting weeks as the transiting node passes into 4 Scorpio and Saturn moves into 21 degrees Scorpio.
Now for the more positive news -- there are not a lot of exact progressions in cardinal degrees to activate in the charts of California, yet Radical Mars in the CA chart is being transited Mars and stimulated by the cardinal cross Supermoon with the transit node on the Radical AC, but not too much else.

Lunar Eclipse Transit Alert for the Week of October 27, 2013
Week of October 27 is a very active week in astrology and the transits for California pose a significant risk for seismic activity in the region. The recent lunar eclipse at 25 Aries hit exactly on San Francisco's Sun and the south node conjoined the DC angle of the chart of Los Angeles. Next week the transiting Sun will stimulate the eclipse of April 25, 2013 at 5-6 Scorpio hitting exactly on the AC angle of the California chart of 5 Scorpio. These areas of 25 Aries/Libra and 5-6 Scorpio/Taurus are sensitized to upcoming transits to those degrees. Starting Saturday night into Sunday, the transiting Sun comes to 3 degrees Scorpio hitting the AC angle in the Progressed San Francisco chart kicking off a week of significant transit stimulation to the chart. Then Monday, October 28th, it's the transit Sun activating the previous lunar eclipse at 5 Scorpio which touches several significant placements in the charts of California, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. The lunar eclipse from April 25, 2013 was angular in California and conjoined the IC angle which amps up the potential for weather related affects from transit stimulation. Two days later the transit Sun conjoins with the lunar node creating a "moon wobble" at 7 degrees Scorpio. Then on November 1st, it's another exact square between Uranus and Pluto at 9 degrees Aries/Capricorn only to be capped off on November 3rd by the total Solar Eclipse at 11 Scorpio. It's an extremely active time astrologically and time to take care! Be alert and think about what you would do to be prepared if such an event were to occur, but don't panic.

Lunar Eclipse of April 25, 2013 and California
The lunar eclipse of April 25, 2013 takes place at 12:57:10 pm in California at 5 degrees 46 minutes Scorpio conjoining the Rising degree on the California chart. It is a partial eclipse and not visible in California, but the eclipse conjoins the 4th house cusp set in Los Angeles and San Franciso . Saturn occupies the 4th house along with the north node in the eclipse chart. According to HS Green any conjunctions or oppositions from planets Mars outward to Pluto combined with the luminaries increases the chance of earthquakes. At the time of the lunar eclipse, Mars and Saturn are in opposition and in conjunction with the luminaries and the IC/MC axis. Mars rules the eclipse as the closest aspecting planet to the luminaries and is in the sign of its detriment, Taurus. According to Raphael, the first decanate of Scorpio lunar eclipse portends horrible thunderstorms, and perhaps an earthquake.
California is at considerable risk for a sizable quake with this eclipse eventhough it's not visible in the United States. Transiting Mars opposes the eclipse degree on the 27th of April at the same time the Moon is perigee (or closest approach to earth.) If a quake is to happen in Southern California, this would be a likely date when the Transiting Sun conjoins the Lunar Eclipse MC cusp at 7 Taurus and Transiting Mars opposes the eclipse degree. Take care and be prepared for whatever happens.

March 27, 2013 Transits
In a couple of days, the transits are potentially strong triggers for earthquakes. March 26-27, 2013 will have Transit Mars involved in a t-square formation with the Transiting Moon in Libra and Transiting Pluto in Capricorn at 11 degrees cardinal signs.
At the same time Transiting Jupiter will stimulate exactly the solar eclipse degree of 11 Gemini from the June 1, 2011 eclipse and the Transiting Sun will square the eclipse Pluto from that eclipse. A potential spot for seismic activity would be in California, Mexico, or Australia as those are the charts of places that took an eclipse hit to their chart during that solar eclipse.

Is it that time?
It's coming up on a New Moon cycle February 10, 2013 and that time I mentioned in my October 2012 post about the Transiting Node hitting the eclipse degree of 21-22 Scorpio. The interesting part of this New Moon is it involves a Moon Wobble. The New Moon at 21 Aquarius squares the Transiting Node at 21 Scorpio in the solar eclipse degree from November 2012. Quakes are bound to tick up in activity during this time. It also has the potential to produce a sizable quake in California as the New Moon cojoins the Radix South Node of San Francisco at 21 Aquarius and squares the Radix Saturn of the Los Angeles Chart that was eclipsed back in November 2012. Transiting Jupiter is also on the lunar eclipse degree of 6 Gemini from November 2012 and will square the Transiting Mars at 5-6 Pisces.
The chart set for the New Moon in San Francisco on the night of February 9, 2013 looks like it shows potential for a quake since the New Moon takes place in the 4th house and squares the node ( moon wobble.) The same is true in Los Angeles,( though Venus is conjoined the 4th cusp at 9 degrees Aquarius.) The lunar eclipse of November 2012 was angular in both California cities and is stimulated by the Transiting Jupiter at 6 Gemini at the same time the Transiting Node is activating the solar eclipse at 21-22 Scorpio. There are other transits to Radix positions in both these charts, but the Moon Wobble, New Moon, and the eclipse stimulations stand out.
Though it's not a certainty by any means, the likelihood of seismic activity in California is elevated around this time plus or minus a few days around the new moon.

Solar Eclipse, Los Angeles, and the Northridge Quake of 1994
Once again, it's eclipse season. There will be an upcoming Solar Eclipse at 21-22 Scorpio on November 13, 2012. This eclipse is prominent in the Los Angeles chart as it's a direct hit on LA's radical Jupiter at 21 Scorpio. It was also the prior Solar Eclipse degree before the devastating Northridge quake on January 17, 1994. In November 1994, the Solar Eclipse set for Los Angeles had the eclipse in the 8th house which is exactly where this upcoming eclipse will take place as well with Mars on the Midheaven where the prior Solar Eclipse in 1993 had Mars conjunct the North Node at 3 Sagittarius.
What does this mean? As this blog focuses exclusively on earthquakes, it could mean that Southern California is due for another quake as it several transits align with the LA chart around the time of the eclipse or when the Transiting Sun meets up with the Transiting Node at 26 Scorpio known as a Moon Wobble on the 18th. There is also a Lunar Eclipse on the 28th of November when Transiting Mars and Transiting Pluto meet up at 8 Capricorn. All of the these dates have the potential to produce notable seismic activity.
What's different from this Solar Eclipse from the previous 1993 Solar Eclipse at 21 Scorpio is that several transiting planets are stimulating the LA chart at the time of the eclipse unlike in 1993. Most notably, there is Transiting Retrograde Jupiter stimulating the previously eclipsed LA Saturn at 13 Sagittarius eclipsed on June 4, 2012 and the Transiting Retrograde Mercury Transiting opposite the eclipse degree of 0 Gemini from the May 20, 2012 Solar Eclipse. Transiting Pluto is forming a square to the LA chart ruler Venus at 7 Libra while Transiting Retrograde Uranus is in opposition to the LA's Neptune at 4 Libra. The Transiting Node is in square to LA's Mercury at 27 Leo. Most troubling is the square from Transiting Saturn to LA's Pluto at 4 Aquarius in the 4th house. Saturn square Pluto is about the threat of loss and destruction and affects the 4th house governing real estate.
Probably the one bright spot that will mitigate a potential quake is not having the either the radical or progressed angles stimulated. Back at the time of the Northridge quake in 1994, both the Sun and Venus were stimulating the Radical AC angle via the square from 26 Capricorn and Saturn was on the Progressed LA MC at 27-28 Aquarius. This will not be the case in November 2012. In February 2013, the Transiting Node will pass over this November eclipse degree at 21 Scorpio and could be another potential time for seismic activity.
Be on the lookout for activity a few days before the November 13th eclipse to the end of November after the lunar eclipse on the 28th. The Moon Wobble is in effect in the days around November 17th and 18th.

Transit Alert for the Los Angeles Chart
This is a transit alert for the Los Angeles Chart. Beginning the evening of August 18, 2012, transits to the LA chart are active. It's during this time, that the Transit Uranus at 7 Aries exactly opposes the Radical Venus at 7 Libra and ties in with the Transit Pluto at 7 Capricorn. The other transits affecting the chart are as follows:
Transit Jupiter at 13 Gemini opposes the eclipsed Radical Saturn at 13 Sagittarius while the Transiting South Node hits the eclipse degree of 0 Gemini. On August 22, 2012 there is a Moon Wobble ( Transit Sun squares the Node) increasing the chances for seismic activity.
Transit Saturn at 25 Libra is conjunct with Transit Mars at 26 Libra is sitting on the Ascendant of the chart and conjoins the Radical South Node at 26 Libra.
Transit Moon at 13 Virgo is conjunct the Radical Sun at 12 Virgo and moves to conjoin the Progressed IC angle ( not shown) at 18 Virgo later on that night.
Transit Mercury opposes the Radical Pluto at 4 Aquarius in the 4th house and is directly opposite the Progressed Pluto at 8 Aquarius ( not shown) during that time.
Seismic risk is elevated during this time period and will last through Saturn's transit of Libra as it hits the AC angle at 26 Libra and the South Node and finally to square the IC/MC axis at 29 Capricorn/ Cancer. In the latter part of August and through September Transit Pluto will meet up with the Progressed DC angle at 6 Capricorn and Uranus will join the mix toward the end of September at 6 Aries when the Transit Saturn will square the Radical IC at 29 Capricorn.
As for upcoming events in the 4th quarter of the year, the Solar Eclipse of November 13, 2012 at 21-22 Scorpio will hit the Radical Jupiter of the Los Angeles chart while the Transit Node at 26 Scorpio will square the Radical Mercury at 27 Leo -- another busy time for elevated seismic risk in the region.

Update for Heavy Transit Alert in Los Angeles
This is an update to the previous article about the potential for seismic activity in Los Angeles during the current time period of mid July 2012. On July 17th and July 18th, Transit Mars at 7 Libra squares Transit Pluto at 7 Capricorn, and trines Transit Jupiter at 7 Gemini at the Radical LA Venus of 7 Libra, the chart ruler, making for a very powerful combination of energy. It is also during this time that the Transiting Sun, at 25-26 Cancer, squares the Radical AC angle and Radical Nodal Axis at 26 Libra. Yet, it is the Solar Eclipse chart of May 2012 that is of most concern. So lets take a look.
In this chart, the Solar Eclipse at 0 Gemini, SE Saturn is angular and is now conjoined on the AC and lines up with SE Venus at 23 Gemini. This is important because most seismic activity occurs where the eclipse or a planet in the eclipse chart is angular. The Transiting Sun is angular on the MC combined with Transiting Saturn angular on the AC, July 17th and 18th. Meanwhile, Transiting Pluto is square to the SE Uranus with Transiting Mars plugging into the equation as mentioned above. Currently, the Transiting South Node has moved into position and is separating with a conjunction to the SE Vertex at 4 Gemini. In addition, the Transiting nodal axis squares SE Neptune at 3 Pisces. It was this eclipse that was visible in California and the eclipse path crossed over portions of California. This eclipse chart for Los Angeles is very active during this time.
Some other curious bits occur between this chart and the Radical LA chart shown below. Note how the SE Mars at 10 Virgo squares the Radical Vertex of the LA chart and trines the Radical Chiron at 10 Taurus. There are no exact transits to stimulate it, but could it symbolize a fated meeting between the two? Also of interest is the SE Lilith is in the same degree of the Radical Fortuna of the LA chart.
Lastly, I would like to mention, ( not shown), is the Partial Lunar Eclipse of June 4, 2012 at 14 Sagittarius. That eclipse hit the LA Radical Saturn at 13 Sagittarius, making it sensitive to upcoming transits. The eclipse was also visible in California. This week, Transiting Venus comes into opposition of the eclipsed Radical Saturn from July 16th and hits opposite the eclipse degree at 14 on the 17th of July. The Partial Lunar Eclipse chart for Los Angeles has 17 Taurus rising, the same degree of the Radical LA fortuna and the SE Lilith.
Watch out this week. It could be an active seismic week in California, especially from Tuesday the 17th to Wednesday the 18th.

Heavy Transits for the Los Angeles Chart
This week starting July 8th is a busy week of heavy transits to the Los Angeles chart increasing the chances for seismic activity. In addition, Transit Uranus is opposite the Chart Ruler Radical Venus at 7 Libra and opposite the Progressed Mercury at 8 Aries which is also squared my the Transit Pluto at 8 Capricorn. Transit Mars squares the Radical Uranus, ruling the 4th house, then oppose the Radical Moon at 3 Aries before trining the Radical Pluto at 4 Aquarius in the 4th house. At the end of the week, Transit Mars will conjoin the Progressed Neptune at 5 Libra and square the Progressed AC at 5 Cancer. The Transiting Sun will oppose the Radical Mars at 17 Capricorn before it's transiting trine with the Progressed MC at 18 Pisces. Finally at the end of the week, Transiting Venus will conjoin the Progressed Mars at 12 Gemini in square to the Radical Sun.
There are really no close conjunctions made by the transiting nodes in either chart, only trines from the Transiting South Node, but the LA chart did receive an eclipse hit to the Radical Saturn from the June 4, 2012 Lunar Eclipse at 14 Sagittarius and Venus is very close to opposing that degree in the next week and a half. Transiting Venus is also conjoined with the Radical Vertex at this time and by the end of the week will conjoin the Progressed Mars in square to the Radical Sun.

The Owen's Valley Quake of 1872
Could the eclipse stimulate the old quake chart to come to life? That's a matter of speculation. Yet, there is a possibility it could in the two or so weeks following this solar eclipse because it is followed by a partial eclipse on June 4, 2012 at 14 Sagittarius eclipsing the South Node of the Owen's Valley Quake Chart. During the week of June 3-9, 2012, there are several important astrological events going on. On June 4, 2012 at the Lunar Eclipse takes place at 4:13AM PDT, at 7:22 AM PDT Neptune turns retrograde, followed by a rare occultation (Venus transits the Sun aka the inferior conjunction) at 6:09PM PDT. This event will not happen again until December 11, 2117. June 8, 2012 Venus transits the Lunar Eclipse degree via opposition at 14 Gemini. On June 8 and 9, Uranus and Pluto meet up square at 8 degrees cardinal signs, though not exact, and Saturn hit 22 degrees Libra in conjunction with the Owen's Valley Quake Moon. Also the Transiting Sun and Mars will meet in a square aspect at 18 degrees, Gemini and Virgo, stimulating the eclipse degree from December 2011 at 18 Gemini. Time will tell.

Pluto transit and the San Andreas Fault
Here's an update on the current transit of Pluto as it makes contact with the Solar Eclipse of July 1, 2011.
Pluto is now transiting opposite the Radical San Andreas Fault Mercury at 9 Cancer which was eclipsed July 1 2011. Looking at the Radical chart of the San Andreas Fault for the date of the Moon Wobble, there are some troubling transits that could indicate some activity. Most important is the stimulation of Transiting Pluto to the eclipsed Radical Mercury from the 4th house. The Traniting Sun is forming a trine to the Radical Sun but involved in a Moon Wobble ( Sun squaring the Node) well noted for producing geophysical effects on the planet. Transiting Mars is conjunct the Radical South Node at 15 Virgo indicating trouble and sextile to Radical Jupiter which could magnify any problem. The Transiting Moonat 16 Taurus is opposite the Radical Uranus while Transiting Venus, the Radical Chart Ruler, is opposite the Radical Moon (??? for a noon chart), yet more indication of stress since the Moon and Venus rule the AC and MC angles in this chart.
In the Progressed San Andreas chart, Transiting Pluto is nearing the Progressed AC at 10 Capricorn. The Progressed Node sits at 11 Pisces with the Transiting Sun coming to hit this point in a few days from the Moon Wobble and squaring the Radical Pluto that was eclipsed June 1, 2011. So the time period for an event could be anywhere from a couple of days on either side of the Moon Wobble taking place on February 28th.
In addition, the chart of Japan will be hit by the Moon Wobble effect as the Transiting Sun comes to the Progressed AC of 10 Pisces while the Transiting Pluto conjoins the Progressed Chrion at 9 Capricorn in square to the Radical Uranus at 9 Libra. However, the Transiting Node makes no exact contacts in either chart, so any activity will probably not be on the scale of previous seismic activity from 2011.

Lunar Eclipse of December 10, 2011 Los Angeles
The upcoming total lunar eclipse of December 10, 2011 takes place in the early morning hours of 6:36 AM PST. This eclipse is notable for California as the eclipse takes place on the AC/DC axis with the Nodes sitting on the AC/DC axis. The eclipse does not hit any major points in the Los Angeles chart per se, but there are several transits that form aspects to the LA chart increasing the chances for seismic activity.
So let's take a look at the Los Angeles chart below.
The Transiting Venus at the time of the eclipse conjoins Radical Mars at 17 Capricorn at trines the Radical Part of Fortune at 17 Taurus. Transiting Mars at 13 Virgo conjoins the Radical Sun at 12 Virgo and squares the Radical Saturn at 13 Sagittarius. Transiting Pluto at 6 Capricorn squares the Radical chart ruler Venus at 7 Libra. And there's more. Transiting Saturn is making an exact conjunction to the Radical AC and South Node providing important angular stimulation seen in most quake charts. Transiting Mercury at the time of the eclipse at 4 Sagittarius is in aspect to Radical Pluto at 4 Aquarius and opposite the TNP Apollon at 4 Gemini and trine to Radical Neptune at 4 Libra. Not shown is the Solar Arc of Saturn at 4 Leo is exact with Radical Pluto. While no planet or point in the LA chart has received an exact hit from the eclipses this year, the Radical MC at 29 Cancer was eclipsed exact in July of 2009 with Transiting Jupiter within a 1 degree orb of square to this point at 0 Taurus--yet more angular stimulation. Also noted is Black Moon Lilith squaring the Radical MC/IC angle from 29 Aries. Some astrologers consider this empty focus point bad luck. I can't say whether it is or not, but it is noted. Transiting Neptune at 28 Aquarius currently in the Radical 4th house is opposing the Radical Mercury at 27 Leo and the Progressed LA Moon at 28 Leo. It is also shown Transiting Uranus is in the Aries point degree and could point to a central important event involving the greater public. Uranus turns direct on this day upping the chances for the unexpected to happen. Whatever the case may be, time to be alert and if you get a chance, take a look outside after 6 am on the West Coast of California and Canada to see a lovely, super, large, copper coloured lunar eclipse.

California and the Libra Ingress and New Moon Period for 2011
In the last couple of days I've looked over the charts of California and Los Angeles though neither chart has had any recent eclipses to follow the Transiting Nodal position. Also, I wanted to check the upcoming squares of the Transiting Sun and Mercury to the eclipse degrees of 29 Gemini and 24 Sagittarius will stimulate either of the progressed charts and in fact they do. A day or two before the Libra Ingress on September 23, 2011 the Progressed Los Angeles chart is making significant transit stimulation aspects and will more than likely increase seismic activity if not an actual moderate to strong quake.
The first transit to note is the position of the Transiting Node making an exact square to the IC/MC angle at 17 Virgo Pisces. In the Radical chart of LA, this same angle was eclipsed exact at 29 Cancer/Capricorn. So the Transiting Node is finally making an exact contact with the Progressed Axis.
Next, there is Transiting Pluto making a near exact conjunction with the DC angle stimulating the exact square to Progressed Neptune.
The Transiting Sun at 28-29 Virgo is making a square to the Progressed Jupiter and Uranus at 28 and 29 Sagittarius and Gemini and in square to the eclipse of December 21, 2010.
Transiting Mercury will be in position to oppose the Progressed Venus at 25 Pisces and square the eclipse degree of 24 Sagittarius.
Transiting Saturn passes over the Progressed South Node at 16 Libra in the 4th house while Transiting Venus opposes the Progressed Mercury at 7 Aries and trines Progressed Pluto at 8 Aquarius.
Transiting Mars at 2 Leo squares the Progressed Sun at 2 Taurus and trines the Transiting Uranus at 2 Aries. While the trine suggest an easier flowing energy, the square of Transiting Mars to the Sun indicates this could also increase the stress and urge to break free.
The Transiting Jupiter position is interesting, it's conjunct the Progressed Chiron in Taurus while square within 1 degree to the Progressed Pluto. Astrologer HS Green has noted that earthquakes are associated with the fixed signs Taurus and Scorpio. The symbolic urge of Jupiter's propensity for expansion and in square to Progressed Pluto makes for an uneasy combination given Pluto's explosive and destructive mundane reputation. Chiron's symbolic meaning can be healing or wounding.
Transiting Neptune's trine to the Progressed opposition between Uranus and Jupiter across the angles adds to the mix and is also forming a trine to the Progressed Fortuna ( although the position of Fortuna could be off as the exact time of the Los Angeles chart isn't absolutely confirmed as accurate). Fortuna in quake charts I have studied can be useful as guide to show when the timing is right for an event when all other factors and transits converge.
As to the timing of a possible and likely window for seismic activity, the transit really begin heating up the Progressed LA chart from September 22, 2011 passed the New Moon in Libra on the 27th.
There is one other chart I would like mention here and that's the San Andreas Fault Chart. This chart was the recipient of an exact partial solar eclipse this summer at 9 Cancer. The chart is untested for quake research, but I have monitoring it. What is interesting to note about this particular chart, is the Transiting South Node is in conjunction with the Progressed Neptune at 17 Gemini at this time while Transiting Saturn in is conjunction with the Progressed Chiron at 17 Libra, Transiting Jupiter is opposite the Progressed Saturn at 8-9 Scorpio and Transiting Mars will be forming a square to the Progressed IC/MC angle during the time period mentioned above. The angles of the San Andreas Chart are not exactly known at the chart is set for noon.
As always, remain calm but prepared just in case.

The week of August 7, 2011
In late evening of August 10, 2011 Transiting Mars and Trasiting Pluto will meet in opposition to one another across the Progressed AC/DC axis in the Los Angeles chart thus increasing the possibility for seismic activity in the region.
Mars and Pluto are explosive energies and when they meet in an eclipse degree across the Progressed Angles of the LA chart it could signal an important event to take place. At the same time, Transiting Saturn will reach 13 degrees Libra squaring the eclipse degree of Capricorn 13 from the solar eclipse in January. Yet, there are more transits making aspects to this Progressed chart. Transiting Jupiter conjoins the Progressed Chiron at 9 Taurus while the Transiting Mercury RX sextiles the eclipse degree of 29 Gemini from the Dec 2010 Lunar Eclipse and stimulates the Progressed grand square of Progressed Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, and Neptune while the Transiting Moon conjoins the Progressed Saturn at 1 Capricorn in the later hours of Tuesday.
Two other transit notations are that of TNP Apollon at the Progressed Fortuna conjunct the Natal AC at 27 Libra and the point of Black Moon Lilith nearing the Progressed Node at 16 Aries.
However, the Transiting Node any major aspect other than an approaching semi-sextile to the progressed Vertex conjoined with Radical Jupiter ( not shown) at 21 Scorpio which lessens the chances for a sizable quake. Also not shown is the Transiting Sun squaring the Radical fortuna at 17 Taurus while the Transiting Venus is squaring the Progressed BM Lilith point at 15 Taurus.

Summer Eclipse Season and California 2011
Summer Eclipse season is here. Back in March of this year, I posted an update for the San Andreas chart and how the two Solar Eclipses of June 1st and July 1st hit placements in the San Andreas chart. So far, luckily, no major activity has occurred on the fault line. However, there's been an uptick, as always, during the days surrounding lunations and eclipses. Most of the microquakes have been popping up around the southern portion of the San Andreas fault and the San Jacinto fault lines.
The upcoming lunar eclipse on June 15, 2011 at 24 Sagittarius doesn't directly impact any placements in the charts of Los Angeles, San Francisco, California, or the San Andreas fault but the eclipse is angular for San Francisco, falling very near exact to the IC and is near ( 5 degrees orb) in Los Angeles which is concerning because where eclipses are angular are usually where the eclipse effects are more often felt. Looking at the Progressed chart of Los Angeles with this in mind, there is some danger from a moderate to strong quake in this region. So let's take a look.
Around June 9th or late in the day June 8th PDT, the transiting Sun moves into square with the Progressed IC angle at 17 Gemini and the transiting Moon at 16 Virgo adding stress. Transiting Mars is square to the Progressed Moon at 21 Leo and opposite the Progressed Vertex at 21 Scorpio.
*The Progressed LA Moon at 21 Leo is also square to the Radical Jupiter at 21 Scorpio conjunct the Progressed Vertex at 21 Scorpio adding a tremendous amount of stimulation to this point. ( not shown) The Vertex acts as a point of fate/ or a predestined appointment in mundane affairs as far as my research has shown me thus far.
Transiting Mercury at 12 Gemini is conjunct with the Progressed Mars at 11 Gemini and is opposite the Radical LA Saturn at 13 Sagittarius ( not shown). However, the Progressed Mars and Radical Saturn are not considered to be in progressed opposition at this time. Transiting Mercury at 12 Gemini also stimulates the Radical Sun of the Los Angeles chart at 12 Gemini.
Transiting Uranus at 4 Aries is square to the Progressed AC//DC angle at 4 Cancer indicating a possible unexpected shock to the area and it's people. Transiting Uranus is also sextile to Progressed Apollon, a possible point of expansion, perhaps something akin to X marks the spot in astrology.
I've added asteroid Ceres because Ceres symbolizes mother nature. Transiting Ceres is at 24 Pisces conjunct Progressed Venus and is square to the Transiting Node at 23 Sagittarius. The upcoming lunar eclipse of June 15, 2011 takes place at 24 Sagittarius further highlighting and stimulating the Progressed Venus which is also the radical chart ruler of the Los Angeles chart. Having a transiting node stimulate this position points to possible event involving mother nature and the people of Los Angeles region. The Transiting Node is also sextile to the Progressed fortuna at 24 Libra.
Transiting Pluto at 6 Capricorn is square to Progressed Mercury at 6 Aries and Progressed Neptune at 6 Libra, both lying in angular houses. This has the potential to set off the opposition between the two planets and activate the grand cross aspects in the Progressed chart. Both planets, Mercury and Neptune rule the Progressed 4th and 10th houses, while the transiting Sun and Moon in square are activating the same angles from 17 Gemini and 16 Virgo ( square and conjunct the IC/MC progressed axis).
Transiting Apollon at 27 Libra is very close to the Radical AC angle of the Los Angeles chart and hit it exact within days. This could be an important indicator.
At any rate, there is a Moon Wobble with the upcoming lunar eclipse, adding more stress on the earth's crust, so it's time to be alert and be prepared for whatever mother nature has in store. As always, remain calm but pay attention.
