Eclipse Season has Arrived!

Today I would like to focus on the chart for Los Angeles as the lunar eclipse happening tomorrow, June 26, 2010 affects the Progressed chart.  So let's take a look, shall we? The lunar eclipse takes place 4:30 am PDT at 4 Capricorn, the exact degree of the Progressed DC of the LA chart highlighting the angle and it's conjoined with Pluto.  As of this point in time, it is unclear whether the effects of this eclipse will pertain to 7th house matters, (i.e. relations with others, open enemies) as it is the Progressed and not the Radical angle of LA, but the eclipse does occur in an earth sign pertaining to matters of the earth such as mining, agriculture, and of course earthquakes. It does not help that the eclipse is conjoined with Pluto at 4 Capricorn. Capricorn is also the sign that represents authority and the establishment and is ruled by Saturn which happens to be transiting an eclipse degree at 28 Virgo, adversely aspecting  the Progressed Uranus, Jupiter, Neptune, and Saturn of this chart.  So not only are the planet positions of the eclipse in a grand cross, the Progressed Chart of LA mimics them and is due to be set off by the eclipse when the timing is right.  This is a potentially very dangerous set up because the angles of the chart are activated.

Last year, the solar eclipse of July 21, 2009 at 29 Cancer, eclipsed the Radical MC of the LA chart exact. It was during the summer of 2009 the state of California was in the middle of a severe budget crisis with no agreement of how to solve state's woes.  Eventually, a deal was reached and the IOU vouchers many of the states employees received were finally redeemed but not without a lot sacrifices.  It was also during this time, Los Angeles went through a period of nonstop water main breaks throughout the city.

In the past couple of years Los Angeles has had the following eclipses affecting the Radical and Progressed charts and are currently active:  March 3, 2007 LE at 13 Virgo--Radical Sun; August 1, 2008 at 9 Leo--Progressed Pluto; August 16, 2008 LE at 24 Leo--Radical Mercury; January 26, 2009 SE at 6 Aquarius--Radical Pluto; July 7, 2009 LE at 15 Capricorn--Radical Mars; July 21, 2009 SE at 29 Cancer--Radical MC; and now June 26, 2010 at 4 Capricorn-- Progressed DC and Radical Uranus.  That's a lot of stimulation especially considering the angles, planets, and the houses involved. The most important house relating to seismic activity is the 4th house.  The cusp of this house is sensitized to upcoming transits as it is one of the angles having been eclipsed. 

In the Progressed LA chart, the 4th house cusp at 16 Virgo has transiting Mars approaching and will hit it in the time between the two eclipses.  Remember, the Radical Mars of the LA chart was eclipsed last summer so the transits of this planet become even more important.  June 26th, Transiting Mars at 10 Virgo squares the Radical Vertex at 10 Gemini and the Progressed Mars.  June 29th Transiting Mars makes exact contact with the Radical Sun eclipsed back in March of 2007 (belonging to Saros 9NN according to B. Brady, the physically expressive series) and still active on June 29th.  Then Mars reaches the exact degree of the eclipse 2 days later at 13Virgo squaring Radical Saturn exact before it reaches the Progressed 4th cusp.  Mars can be a real trouble maker especially in the 4th house.  H.S. Green states it does little good in this house, bad for weather related events, the common people, and the government can get shaken up.  This is the planet to watch! 

There could be trouble as soon as the date of the lunar eclipse but it's my opinion if a quake is to occur it will be a few days later when nearly all the planets line up in eclipse degrees and the Comet McNaught 2009 r1 reaches perihelion projected to be on July 2, 2010.  The beginning of July has Transiting Mars conjunct with the Radical LA Sun close to the eclipse degree of 13 Virgo; Saturn opposite the eclipse degree of 28 Pisces (a very difficult solar eclipse as described in Celeste Teal's book, Eclipses, associated with fires, explosions, earthquakes, and many difficulties); Venus transiting an eclipse degree at 21 Leo; Sun transiting an eclipse degree at 10 Cancer, Mercury transiting an eclipse degree at 15 Capricorn, Transiting Jupiter squaring the Radical eclipsed Uranus; Transiting Uranus at the Aries point degree, a dynamic point associated with a great out rushing of energy; Transiting Neptune opposite Radical Mercury; Transiting Transiting Pluto on the eclipse degree conjunct with the Progressed DC and in a grand cross to Radical Neptune, Venus, Moon, and Uranus in early cardinal signs. Last, but certainly not least, is the Transiting Nodes at 11 Capricorn/Cancer within orb of the eclipse degree at 10 Cancer. 

The Nodes' position is of vital importance when examining/studying earthquakes.  In every case of every major quake in the world, the Nodes' position is within a  2 to 3 degree orb of an important chart placement ( planet, angle, point), near an eclipse degree by square, opposition, or conjunction.  The Easter earthquake in Baja California had the Nodes transiting within orb the eclipse degree of 15 Capricorn, square to the Transiting Sun (a moon wobble) and  the Progressed LA node at 16 Aries.  Here's a link to an excellent article by Rob Tillet on this phenomenon www.astrologycom.com/moonwobble.html During this eclipse season, Transiting Mercury will square the Progressed LA Node with the Transiting Sun about a week later.  The Transiting Nodes also square the Progressed Fortuna at 11 Libra posited in the 4th house. 

 Lastly, the astrolocality chart for the June 26, 2010 lunar eclipse shows Chiron and Neptune MC lines running through Southern California while not as troubling as Saturn IC with the Node DS line crossing through the Gulf region, it is worth noting because it may signal a confusing or time for the government concerning this area.  The crossing of the Mars IC and Mercury AS lines along the latitude of San Francisco is also noted for potential danger. 

The Los Angeles chart is the most active it has been in years. Whatever comes to pass, changes are coming.  Take care and I urge all to be prepared just in case there should be a quake.

It's Time to Wake Up

Life sure has a way of interfering with my plans.  I had hoped to go over the main charts for California before now, but unfortunately my sweet cat, Beetroot (pictured), has had an extended stay in the Bay Hill Cat Hospital this past week so everything got put on hold.  She's doing much better and graduated from the mere $1000 hairball to the $3000 mother of all hairballs. She's not even a longhaired cat!  Alas, my delay in going over the charts....

So let's jump in starting with the California chart.  There was a 3.0 quake SE of San Francisco this morning very close to the San Andreas fault.
Taking a look at the transits for the Radical CA chart, we have transiting Venus activating an eclipse degree is in opposition to Radical Lilith near the cusp of the 4th house and squaring the Radical AC and Moon.  * Eclipse stimulation, 4th house cusp and angular stimulation are all active players in earthquakes.  The Transiting Node is squaring Radical Mars and Mercury. Transiting Mercury is conjunct the Radical Vertex and Comet McNaught 2009 R1 square to the Radical Sun at 16 Virgo.  Transiting Mars is opposite the Radical Neptune in the 4th house.  The outer transiting planets of Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto are adding to the stress of Radical Jupiter at 29 Virgo (an eclipse degree).  At the time of the quake, the Transiting Moon set off the Radical Mercury (separating) in opposition to Radical Saturn (applying).  While this is a minor quake, it's worth noting because of it's proximity to the San Andreas fault.  In the coming weeks,  the Sun will be moving into position to set off the oppositions in Aries-Libra along with the Transiting Node in Capricorn.  It may be a couple of weeks before then, but it's time to wake up as California's main fault is starting to look to do the same.

One of California's worst quakes on the San Andreas fault is the 1857 Ft. Tejon quake.

Looking at the chart, we can see that Cardinal signs are involved.  The Moon and Saturn are both opposite the eclipse degree of 10 Capricorn from the July 1, 1852 lunar eclipse, Saros 17 N, and square to the node in Aries.  The Sun was within the allowable orb to square the lunar eclipse October 13, 1856  degree of 21 Aries, and square to the solar eclipse of April 5, 1856 degree of 16 Aries.  Mars is square to the solar eclipse of May16, 1855 of 25 Taurus.  Jupiter is within orb square to lunar eclipses of December 26, 1852 at 5 Cancer and June 21, 1853 at 0 Capricorn. Uranus is opposite the lunar eclipse of May 12, 1854 at 21 Scorpio  and finally Pluto is within orb of the lunar eclipse of October 25, 1855 at 1 Taurus square to Chiron and Mercury.  This is quite a lineup of activations to eclipse points.  However, we must reference this chart back to the Capricorn Ingress chart set for Washington DC.

Here is the Capricorn Ingress chart for 1856. 

This is where it starts to make more sense as we can see the 4th house cusp is in Taurus, an earth sign with an affinity for the earth movements.  The cusp is conjunct the malefic star Algol associated with great misfortune and violence and the cusp is at an eclipse degree from the solar eclipse of May 16, 1855.  Uranus is nearby only adding to danger from unexpected, shocking weather/seismic related events.  Venus rules the 4th house in this chart and is conjunct Mars, Chiron and the AC square to Pluto signifying violent, wounding events brought to the fore affecting the nation and causing misery. Luckily, the region was largely unpopulated so the damage incurred, though bad, did not cause the death of more than two people.  This would not be the case today if there is to be another quake of this magnitude in the region. 

The Astrolocality map for the Capricorn Ingress of 1856 shows a Node IC line passing through the area effected by the quake thus highlighting the region as a potential trouble spot before the actual date.

With the upcoming eclipse season, once again we have a few eclipses and many planets in Cardinal signs. The transits to eclipse degrees of the last few years is upon us in the next few weeks.  Although the Cancer Ingress chart of 2010 doesn't have any lines passing through California, the date of the Comet McNaught 2009 R1's perihelion does.  Will something happen?  Perhaps...

San Francisco Quake Watch

With the upcoming Cancer Ingress of 2010 just a couple of days away, it bears looking at the chart of San Francisco.  The recent New Moon of June 12, 2010 took place at 21 Gemini, conjoined the radical Ascendant of the San Francisco chart.  The city and its inhabitants of San Francisco can expect new developments taking shape this month and we may be getting some news from this region around the time of the summer solstice as transiting Mercury goes over the spot where the New Moon took place.  Also of note on this day is the arrival of Comet McNaught 2009 R1 to the degree of 20 Gemini when it passes over the fixed star Capella.  Capella has been associated with earthquakes in respect to solar eclipses but no data exists in regard to comets.
Could this portend a quake?  Well, it's quite possible if not on this specific date, then quite soon. 

There are several transits taking place to radical positions in the chart.  Transiting Mars squares the Radical Moon.  Transiting Venus is square Radical Venus.  Transiting Neptune is conjoined the Radical MC.  The Transiting Node is square to Radical Saturn and sextile the Radical Vertex.  The Transiting Moon (June 20th and 21st) will be in Libra square to Radical Lilith, trine to Neptune on the MC, and in opposition to the Radical Sun, Uranus and Pluto before continuing onward into Scorpio where it will oppose the Radical Venus. It's a lot activation for this chart especially with the Transiting node squaring Radical Saturn.

The recent New Moon of June 12, 2010  and the Cancer Ingress of 2010 ( set for Washington DC) both have very difficult aspects and feature a  lot frustrated energy between the outer planets of Saturn, Uranus, Jupiter, and Pluto.  For San Francisco there are changes, and the public's nerves may be on end.  Discontent abounds with the New Moon in waxing square to Transiting Saturn in the 4th house.  Saturn in the 4th house poorly aspected is a harbinger of bad weather and can increase the danger for earthquakes.  From now throughout the summer, it's time to be alert and ready.  San Francisco and the whole of California for that matter is under quake watch.
Specific days of elevated risk are June 20, 21, 26 through July 11 when the eclipse season arrives in full force.  July 1, 2, and 3rd are especially treacherous days for seismic activity as Comet McNaught 2009 R1 reaches perihelion, and the transits (especially Mars coming into conjunction with Radical Jupiter in the 4th) activate eclipse degrees.

Update on Comet McNaught's Perihelion date

In my last posting, I wrote about Comet McNaught 2009 R1and what it could signify.  Today I would like to add to that information. On June 15th and 16th the comet will come the closest to Earth at approximately 100 million miles away as it transits the 5-7 degrees of Gemini. It should be interesting to watch what happens during this time as a possible portent of the comet's message.  During this time President Obama is to address the nation in primetime TV about the BP oil rig disaster.  The United States is front and center with the comet transiting the Gemini AC for the USA.

It would seem whatever is said in his address will have far reaching effects for the nation in the months ahead if not years as the disaster has reached epic proportions already.  Will it get worse? Yes, but by how much?  There are several troubling aspects going on with the Cardinal Crisis transits, a lunar eclipse in a grand cross formation, a difficult Cancer Ingress, and a difficult New Moon which took place on June 12, 2010 at 21 Gemini conjunct with the radical Mars of the USA chart.  It's going to be a very bumpy ride this summer as I have stated before but now we have Comet McNaught 2009R1 to underscore just how important these transits are.

The comet is expected to make it's perihelion (closest transit to the Sun) on July 2, 2010 at 15 Cancer, very close to the radical Sun of the USA chart.  Furthermore, July 2, 2010, the Sun will be at 10 Cancer transiting the lunar eclipse degree of December 31, 2009, Mercury will be transiting 15 Cancer opposite the lunar eclipse of July 7, 2009, Mars will be transiting the eclipse of 13 Virgo belonging to Saros Series 9NN ( the physically expressive one according to Bernadette Brady and responsible for a few of CA quakes), and Venus will be transiting the eclipse of February 9, 2009.  In addition to this, Uranus is still in the Aries point degree symbolic of a great out rushing of energy taking place on the world stage.  July 2, 2010 is certainly an important date to watch as the danger from quakes and other disasters is extremely heightened. I cannot rule out something occurring earlier as it passes close to earth.  Afterall, June 15th and 16th would be the perihelion date in regard to Earth.  It's as if the universe has put exclamations marks around the planet and then underscored the importance of it by adding a comet into the mix with everything else.

Taking a look at the astrolocality chart for the Cancer Ingress, there shows a disturbing Saturn IC line
intersecting with the Node DS through the panhandle of Florida.  Could this be a forewarning of a possible hurricane to hit the area and thus making the BP oil rig disaster much, much worse?  Perhaps.  It would certainly be fitting with the perihelion sign of Cancer for Comet McNaught 2009R1 and have a Saturn IC line running through the area for the Ingress chart.

Astrologer Celeste Teal brought to my attention the Geodectic IC for the USA at 12 Capricorn (360-77w02)is very near the degree of perihelion for the comet as well.  It's looking like Comet McNaught 2009 R1 has a message for United States. 

There is another possibility I've been exploring and that is a major quake in California.  I have stated in several previous postings about my concern regarding a serious earthquake in California this summer.  Previously, I had selected a few key dates-- July 7, 2010 when most planets are transiting eclipse degrees and transiting Mars exact with the 4th house cusp of the progressed LA chart, and the days surrounding the lunar eclipse on the 26th of June.  I have been pondering the first few days in July for a few months and even mentioned them in an earlier posting, but with the addition of this comet making perihelion on July 2, 2010 and reviewing the transits, I think the first few days in July hold the greatest danger for a major quake in California.  In the words of mundane astrologer Raphael, he states his rules #9,  "Earthquakes may occur near the perihelion of great comets, that is, when the great comets are nearest the Sun or Earth." His rule #7 states, "Earthquakes generally happen on or near the four Cardinal points of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn."

Also on this date we have the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto transiting eclipse degrees, the Moon starting out opposing transiting Mars and coming into conjunction with transiting Saturn, and Uranus at the Aries point degree.

Watch for the next post as I will go over the charts of California, LA, and the San Andreas fault (the San Andreas chart is experimental at this point i.e. in its testing phase).

The Eclipse Season and Comet McNaught 2009, R1

The eclipse season is just around the corner and with that brings the possibility of increased seismic risk. 
The upcoming lunar eclipse of June 26, 2010 as I have stated before in early posts pose a real danger to California as the natal Uranus of the LA chart will be eclipsed in addition to the progressed AC/DC axis at 4 Cancer.

However, I would like to digress to mention what is currently happening in the northern sky.  Comet Mc Naught 2009 R1 is transversing the constellation of Perseus in Mid-June as it heads towards the Sun increasing in brightness.  On June 13th, the comet will be 3 degrees south of the fixed star Mirfak and will conjunct fixed star Capella within 1 degree and transiting Mercury at 20-21 Gemini on June 21, 2010, the date of the Cancer Ingress.  I found an excellent article by Jonathan Flanery on the astrological influence of comets.  http://www.skyscript.co.uk/comet.html
In his article he notes in ancient times, comets were thought to be important portents of a malefic nature for events here on planet earth.  Their appearance coincided with disturbances in human affairs, animals, and the weather brought about by the rise of some agent. 

This particular comet is named for Robert McNaught of Australia's Siding Spring Observatory who spotted the object on an image taken last year on September 9th.  This comet originates from Oort cloud beyond the outerbounds of Pluto making it's first orbit in from that region.  No one can say for sure just how bright Comet Mc Naught will become but when it first spotted at 17th magnitude it has only increased in brightness as it makes its way toward the Sun.  Currently, the comet is at 5th magnitude (visible to the naked eye in dark skies) and could become as bright as the magnitude (2nd) stars in the Big Dipper.  The closest the comet will come to Earth occurs on June 15-16 at 1.13 AU's or approx. 100 million miles( not that close, an AU is the distance from the Earth to the Sun).

According to modern astrologers, comets act as messengers.  The comets that originate from the Oort Cloud, bring forth messages and decrees from the fixed stars.  The ancients believed that comets were important when they became visible to the unaided eye and were important portents of celestial power.  According to Mr. Flanery's article, the message a comet is not delivered until the comet makes its closest approach to the Sun wherein the message to be delivered becomes absorbed. Comet McNaught reaches this point (perihelion) on July 2, 2010.  This point is thus very sensitive as it is the message of the comet and when this point is transited by Mars or the Sun, changes begin in earnest according to the message brought by the comet.  Comets tend to signify changes and realignments in the areas of politics, finances, and trade sparked by a initial disruption to the system.  In Mr. Flanery's article, he states the effects of comets are first noticeable in the places and enterprises ruled by the sign of the comet's perihelion.  In this case, the perihelion of Comet McNaught 2009 R1 is in the sign of Cancer.  However, by the time it reaches perihelion, the comet will be so low in the sky that it's visibility will be next to nothing for those of us living in the northern hemisphere.

Given this background information, I've been thinking about what the message of Comet McNaught 2009 R1might be.  The date of perihelion for this comet is highlighted as it is also the degree of the lunar eclipse of December 31, 2009 at 10 Cancer and the Sun will be transiting this degree on July 2, 2010.  It's a double whammy.  Nasa puts the position of the comet at 15 Cancer, magnitude 4.6 on this datebut it could be much brighter.  This position is also opposite the  lunar eclipse of July 7, 2009.  Cancer holds rulership over bodies of water, coastlines, fish and sea creatures, Mother Nature ( the Cosmic Mother), the boating industry, real estate ( homes), municipal politics, the weather, and is the Sun sign of the United States.  According to Rex Bills' Rulership Book, it is suggested that Southern California is ruled by this sign. Clearly, there will likely be some new developments involving the BP disaster in the Gulf.  But what else?

Looking at the fixed stars as the comet passing by Earth, it traverses the constellation of Perseus June 10-June 16, just south of fixed star Mirfak on June 13th at a declination near +48.00, longitude at 2 Gemini and then conjoins the fixed star of Capella in the constellation Auriga, on the date of June 21, 2010 when the Sun enters 0 degrees Cancer.  This is important for the Cancer Ingress is the stage for astrological forecasting over the next 3 months. The fixed star Capella (+46.00 declination, longitude at 21-22 Gemini) has a Mercury-Mars nature according to Ptolemy and is the 6th largest star in the sky.  In general, the star is fortunate as it portends military honors.  However,  it may also portend earthquakes in a mundane chart.   The main unknown in all of this is how bright will the Comet McNaught 2009 R1 become and what date will it become visible to the naked eye by most observers.  If indeed, the comet is bright enough to see on June 13th, then perhaps the message of comet will be tied up with the associations of the constellation Perseus.  According to George Noonan, the constellation is indicative of events affecting large numbers of people, especially those events caused by major meteorological phenomena.  It's very difficult to say at this point as there is very limited knowledge and research on the astrological effects of comets, but it gives us something to think about.

Heavy Transits as Jupiter and Uranus meet in Aries

The next couple of weeks starting May 24, 2010 correspond to some very important geocosmic transits of Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus.  First up is the Uranus' entry into Aries on May 28, 2010 UTC (May 27, 2010 around 7pm PDT) and is also the date of the full moon which takes place at 4:08PM PDT. With Uranus being in the Aries point degree, it's very possible we could see some shocking or surprising events take place take center stage in the world and media.

Next, Saturn turns direct on May 30, 2010 at 27 degrees 50 minutes Virgo.  Saturn will be in stationary mode from May 27, 2010 at the time of the full moon.  In Western and Vedic astrology, planets that are stationary are considered to be increased in their powerful affects and especially so at the time they turn direction.  Saturn tends to bring obstacles and setbacks and in mundane astrology has rulership over landowners, farmers, mines, elderly people and holds sway over  public sorrow, dissapointment and the national death rate.

Not quite a week later, we have Jupiter joining the party in Aries, but Jupiter will wait another 2 days until June 8, 2010 before the conjunction is exact. Jupiter and Uranus meet up every 13-14 years.  The last time Jupiter and Uranus met was in 1997 at 6 degrees Aquarius when the cloning of Dolly the Sheep was in the news and NASA landed the rovers on Mars very fitting events for sign of Aquarius which rules technology and space ships.  So the next couple of weeks are packed with some very powerful apsects!

The conjunction between Jupiter and Uranus in the Aries point degree is important one.  Aries is a sign of action and the Aries point degree as described by Celeste Teal is "a point of extreme outrushing of energy and is representative of one's relationship with the world at large."  Jupiter is a planet of abundance and expansion.  Jupiter has a way of increasing anything it touches and the possibilities of combining with Uranus,  the Awakener, for it's ability to bring about shocking and surprising events into one's life is certainly a time take notice and be on the alert.  Juptier and Uranus could translate into increased seismic activity and well as an increase in all things ruled by Aries such as fires and conflicts.  As I have said before, anything can happen and it probably will with this combination coming up very soon, especially since this combo will be in a waning square with Pluto in Capricorn.  We are on the very edge of a precipice, a major turning point is being reached.  It's time for change and in California's quake prone landscape, the earth may well be readying herself for a big change. 

The danger posed by a significant quake in California is very real now throughout the summer.  The eclipse season is approaching toward the end of June, but at the moment there are some very important planetary alignments taking place in the next couple of weeks. 

The dates to watch out for are:
May 27-28 the full moon period when Saturn is stationary and Uranus hits the Aries point degree
May 30 when Saturn turns direct
June 6-8 when Jupiter enters Aries and conjoins with Uranus

Jupiter-Saturn Opposition -- Quake time?

It's getting very close now--the once every 20 year exact Jupiter-Saturn opposition-- and many astrologers will be watching to see what happens.  On May 23, 2010 UTC or May 22, 2010 PDT Jupiter and Saturn will oppose each other at 27 degrees 53 minutes in Virgo/Pisces in the evening hours 9-10 pm.  This opposition takes place very close to the solar eclipse of March 18, 2007, Saros series 9NN.  The 9NN Saros series has been active in a couple of California's stronger earthquakes.  It is also this eclipse of March 18, 2007 that astrologer Celeste Teal described in her book Eclipses that signals trouble for water companies, turbulence in the land, fires and/or explosions, and earthquakes. 

Last year when Saturn was stimulating this eclipse, Los Angeles experienced a month of nearly daily water main breaks around the city.  Most recently, Saturn has been stimulating this eclipse when the BP Deepwater Oil Rig exploded and killed 11 people and a death toll to wildlife with numbers still unknown.

This particular solar eclipse of March 18, 2007 is still active.  The 9NN Saros series according to Bernadette Brady is the physically expressive Saros series and is capable of bringing about sudden physical events when stimulated.   So what does this mean for quakes and California?

In looking at the progressed chart for Los Angeles, it's possible to see the potential for a strong quake to hit the region within days. 

The Jupiter-Saturn opposition takes place across the the 4th and 10th houses and squares progressed Uranus at 29 Gemini.  Transiting Uranus is also exactly square to progressed Uranus.  This configuration stimulating the eclipse and the progressed aspects in has the potential to set off the grand cross. Transiting Venus is conjunct the progressed AC in opposition to transiting Pluto. Transiting Venus is also square the radical Neptune at 4 Libra and square the radical Moon at 3 Aries of the Radical LA chart. This is important because Venus is the radical chart ruler of the LA chart.  Transiting Mercury is square the progressed Moon at 7 Leo and progressed Pluto.  Transiting Mars is square to the progressed Vertex at 20 Scorpio.   The only caveat are the nodes.  Neither the transiting Node nor the progressed Node is not specifically giving direct stimulation to any point.  HOWEVER, the transiting Node is exactly trine to the radical LA Sun. 

The Moon starts the day at 18 Virgo at 1am on May 22, 2010 PDT stimulating the 9NS Saros series and continues onward through Virgo to make a conjunction with the Jupiter-Saturn opposition in the afternoon hours of 3-5 pm PDT.  A quake has the possibility of occurring as soon as the transiting moon conjoins the radical Sun at 12-13 Virgo trine to the transiting node on May 21, 2010 in the evening hours; conjoins the progressed IC at 15-16 Virgo and continues throughout the day as it moves along to stimulate the eclipse degrees of 18 Virgo, 24 Virgo, 28 Virgo/Pisces, and 29 Virgo.  As the Moon progresses into Libra it will square the transiting Venus and the mentioned aspects in the paragraph above, then moves to stimulate the progressed opposition of Mercury and Neptune at 5 and 6 degrees Libra/Aries and onward toward the eclipse degree of 8 Aries/Libra, 10 Libra, and 19 Aries/Libra.

It is hard to give a location at this time but the area that has been most active to date is from the Cajon Pass to Ocotillo.  I would extend this region to the north to include the areas up to the Tejon Pass along the San Andreas fault.

Southern Californians need to keep on their toes, alert, and ready for whatever happens.  It's going to be a few months before things calm down.
